Imagine a beautiful sunny day in the grounds of a grand old museum. Sun lounges and retro umbrellas are dotted across the lawn while a warm breeze carries soulful tunes from the stage up into the air. Upstairs designers have laid out carefully crafted pieces that are snapped up in a heartbeat … letterpress notes, resin jewellery, ceramics and vintage fashion finds abound.
It feels like a summer festival in England. Nope. This, my friends, is winter in Brisbane. Amazing. And to top it all off it was a huge success for Craft Schmaft. It’s so nice when hard work (and last minute decisions like sewing up a string of bunting into the wee hours the night before pay off).
Thank you Brisvegas, I had a blast and will definitely be back again. But the biggest thanks of all has to go to my gorgeous sister who came up and helped out all weekend. Elly, you rock.
