I have such a love for all things vintage. I’m not sure why, or where this obsession came from but I just swoon over anything … well… old.
So while the mission of re-organising my craft room continues, I have one amazing vintage piece that is going to be put to good use. This is my grandmother’s sewing basket. Mum tells me that it dates back to the 1940s and was used for all sorts of notions until my nan gave up sewing. Even the red ribbon inside is original.
I’ve been working on where to store my threads and this, I’m proud to say is the perfect solution. I thought about lining it in a gingham but I just can’t bring myself to mess with it.
In other vintage goodness, I spent a bliss hour in an antiques shop and snapped these treasures. Aren’t they amazing?
