The year that was 2012

What a big year it has been. I declared 2012 the “Year of the Craft” and I’m so proud to say that it really has been.

Someone once told me that it takes takes time to catch up with big life changes, like having a family. That we often have to grow into new ways of living. I’ll always remember 2012 as the year that I caught up with myself. From humble beginnings back in January when I was getting my craft back on to leaping around Australia from market to market, and typing around the world with this blog. There are three times as many of you lovely blog readers as there were last year from 160 different countries. Wow!

There was hot air balloon crafting:

The Funny Tummy Bunny was born:

Fabric was designed:

Baby Zilla was roaarred into life:

New Owlies were created:

Sock Owls

I went to Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra and loved meeting you all in person:

The Gnomes were finally finished!

The penguin delighted my two-year-old and became an Ornament Tutorial:

And before we knew it, Rudolph arrived for Christmas.

I’m going into 2013 feeling more positive than ever. I really can’t wait to see where my crafty adventures take me and I hope you’ll come along for the ride.  Happy New Year everyone and thank you so much for making this blog a true joy of mine in 2012.

  1. What a wonderfully creative set of accomplishments! So proud of you! Oh, and I gave my completed hot air balloon mobile to a dear friend who is going through a rather scary but exciting life change for her new apartment as a symbol of adventure . . . she LOVES it! Happy New Year! 🙂 Hugs, Katherine

    • Awww thank you! I so love the idea of the balloons being a symbol of adventure. I’ve been thinking for a while about creating a single hot air balloon and this has inspired me to make it happen. Thanks so much Katherine.
